I do not often get this personal, but I felt called to share my story today.
I used to dread physical education class in school. I was awkward, self-conscious, and deeply anxious. The idea of moving my body in front of other people filled me with dread. I dealt with significant anxiety and depression for years, and exercise felt like one more thing that could expose my inadequacies.
But somewhere along the way, something shifted.
I started moving intentionally -- not to look a certain way, but to feel better. And it worked. The gym became my therapy. The endorphins, the structure, the sense of accomplishment -- they gave me confidence I did not know I was capable of.
From avoiding PE class to becoming a certified fitness coach. From dreading my body to celebrating what it could do.
That transformation did not happen overnight -- it happened one small intentional decision at a time.
That is why I do this work. Not because I have always had it figured out -- but because I know what it feels like to struggle, and I know what it feels like to break through.
If you are in that place right now, I see you. And I know you are capable of more than you realize.
With all my heart -- Sara
